Club Penguin Grows Mouse Ears
After a deal for $500 million fell through with Sony, the group from Kelowna that developed the virtual world for kids has reportedly sold the property to Disney for $700 million. Disney was mentioned in the original post on TechCrunch, as was the fact that there were issues holding up the sale. There is a letter on the site that talks about the sale as a business partnership with world’s best loved and most respected provider of family entertainment with a strong commitment to providing safe fun. The sites founders will remain in control of the day-to-day operations of the company and clearly state they remain committed to our policy of allowing no advertising on the site. Congratulations to the three-man team on their success! (I love the image - even his feet look happy!)
